UH Seidman Cancer Center Update | October 2019

University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center’s Radiation Oncology faculty showed strong and active representation at the annual American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology’s (ASTRO) annual conference, held September 15-18, 2019 in Chicago.

UH Seidman Cancer Center was represented with highlighted notable speakers, presenters, and moderators. As Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UH, I was invited to deliver the introduction and congratulations speech for ASTRO's gold medal winner, Dr. Wally Curran from Emory.  Finally, numerous UH faculty members from the department participated in ASTRO committees and councils related to radiation oncology research and education.

ASTRO is a professional association in radiation oncology that is dedicated to improving patient care through professional education and training, support for clinical practice and health policy standards, advancement of science and research advocacy.
