Martin Bocks, MD, Director of Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, speaks about using Abbott’s Amplatzer Piccolo™ Occluder device to treat patent ductus arteriosus in premature twins. The minimally invasive, transcatheter procedure using the new Abbott device (created specifically for the tiniest babies weighing as little as two pounds) was a first for NE Ohio.
