As part of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and in conjunction with Case Western Reserve University, the Urology Institute's mission is to enhance human health through excellence in medical education, biomedical research and clinical care.

Our Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Urology Residency Program is based on a strong foundation of both resident and medical student education. Since 1939, our program has trained urology residents for successful careers as both leaders in academic and private practice urology.

The Difference

University Hospitals Urology Institute faculty are committed to providing each graduate of our program with the fundamental skills necessary to begin their urologic career, and the tools required for continued growth to benefit patients and our field. Upon completion of training, our graduates are aggressively recruited by competitive private practice groups and academia or matriculated into some of the most competitive fellowships available.

Our program is also the proud home to a diverse pool of budding urologists. Today, approximately 50 percent of urology residents at University Hospitals are women, compared to an industry average of 27 percent; 50 percent represent minority groups, and a variety of languages are fluently spoken amongst them.
