Please refer to the list of electives below for a complete list of courses that are offered to visiting medical students at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.

Availability of Elective Rotations for Medical Students

The list of electives is available for visiting students to review. This list is updated with regards to specific elective eligibility requirements. Please refer to the Exceptions column for limitations, capacity and additional requirements that might be elective dependent.

Electives : Academic Year 2024-2025

In addition to our comprehensive list of University Hospitals electives on the website, our elective list and descriptions can be reviewed on the following external platforms:

  • VSLO application site: Visiting medical students should NOT contact department coordinators to schedule an elective rotation directly. Once an application is complete through VSLO, the department coordinators will check that the applicant meets elective criteria, review elective availability and accept or decline an applicant accordingly.
  • Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine Office of the Registrar: the Case Registrar course catalog lists all electives that are available to Case SOM students and includes our University Hospital electives. Please note: Not all electives in the CWRU SOM course catalog are offered to visiting students.
