Letter from the Program Director
Welcome to the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship website! My name is Anupam Verma, and as the Program Director, I am thrilled that you are interested in our program. I look forward to sharing information with you about our program, which is designed to train the future clinicians and academic leaders in our field. We provide outstanding training and mentorship in clinical care, and the extraordinarily rich research environment of our Division, our Department of Pediatrics, Angie Fowler Adolescent & Young Adult Cancer Institute and the NCI-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, affords virtually limitless opportunities for our trainees.
At UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s we have one of the largest and most comprehensive training programs in Northeast Ohio where you will receive comprehensive and balanced clinical experience in both common and rare hematologic and oncologic disorders of children, adolescents and young adults, as well as learn the latest in gene and cellular therapies. We are consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation with all subspecialties represented. I am exceptionally proud of our graduates who have gone on to successful careers as expert clinicians and academic researchers at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s, and at other great institutions, such as the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Children’s National, University of Minnesota, internationally at King Hussein Cancer Center and in Panama City.
As you learn more about the program, I hope that you get the sense that our division is very collaborative and invested in the education and career development of our fellows. In our program you will find uniqueness of a midsized training program with all the benefits of a large academic institution and a nationally recognized cancer center in a very affordable city to live in. Please explore our website to find further information about our fellowship program including clinical care, research opportunities, didactic curriculum and information about our fellow alumni.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions about our program.
Thank you again for your interest.
With warm regards,
Anupam Verma, MD
