What to Expect During a Visit to the Division of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology

The Division of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital provides highly skilled and comprehensive care for babies, children, adolescents, and adults. While allergies can affect children of any age, our board-certified physicians provide the latest advancements in treatment options to reduce or even eliminate troublesome allergy symptoms.

Allergy Testing

Our board-certified pediatric allergists at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital will do a physical examination and write down the child’s medical history. Parents can help this information gathering process by writing down known allergies and reactions to give to the doctor.

Allergy tests may be necessary during a new patient visit. Getting a proper diagnosis is vital to making sure the child gets proper treatment to manage any allergic reaction. Once the child has completed the necessary allergy tests at the Division of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology, treatment options will be discussed.
