Learn More about Medical Student Psychiatry Course Work

Medical students are exposed to the basics of psychiatry in pre-clinical coursework during M2 year in Block 6.

During M3 year, students rotate through the Department of Psychiatry at either University Hospitals or the Veterans Administration Medical Center as part of their basic clerkship experiences, Core 3: Neuroscience - which includes psychiatry and neurology.

Finally, medical students have the opportunity for additional psychiatry elective experiences during M4.
