About UH Parma Medical Center

For more than 50 years, University Hospitals Parma Medical Center has been serving the healthcare needs of residents across the Cleveland metro area. UH Parma is a nine-floor acute care hospital with an extended campus that includes four medical buildings and satellite facilities in Parma, Broadview Heights, Brooklyn, North Royalton and Seven Hills.

This 332-bed full-service community hospital employs 2,000 Northeast Ohio residents, including more than 500 physicians trained in more than 30 specialties. including emergency medicine, heart and vascular, cancer, bariatric surgery, pain management and rehabilitation and has received national recognition for its orthopedics program and cardiovascular outcomes.

UH Parma is also pleased to provide accredited child care services for children of employees, physicians and members of the public.

History of UH Parma Medical Center

UH Parma Medical Center was founded as Parma Community General Hospital in 1961 by the cities of Parma, Parma Heights, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Seven Hills and North Royalton. The hospital became part of the University Hospitals Health System in January 2014.

Our medical care service area now extends far beyond the six founding communities, serving residents across the Cleveland metro area.

UH Parma Medical Center Earns Five Stars for Quality

UH Parma Medical Center has received the highest possible rating of five stars for quality from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that administers Medicare. CMS rates hospitals from one to five stars, based on their safety, efficiency and patient experience.
