5 Steps of Emergency Care

  • Triage – process of determining the severity of condition
  • Registration – gather patient information and obtain consent for treatment
  • Treatment – every patient receives treatment from a doctor or mid-level practitioner
  • Reevaluation – evaluate test results to determine type of treatment
  • Discharge – receive instructions to follow after leaving the emergency room

Insurance & Payment

We accept all major medical insurance providers, including Medical Mutual of Ohio (MMO) SuperMed. Co-pays, deductibles and items not covered by insurance are paid at the time of your visit.

For Minor Illness or Injury

If your medical condition isn’t life-threatening, a visit to a UH Urgent Care or UH Virtual Visit may be more appropriate.
