Division & Institution
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital consists of ten faculty members, six diabetes nurse educators, two endocrine nurses, two dietitians, two social workers and a clinical psychologist. Members of the faculty direct a variety of research programs, with special interest in type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, including diabetes technology and childhood obesity.
UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. The medical school continues to expand its research effort and is now among the top medical schools for NIH funding. The Department of Pediatrics at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital consists of approximately 150 faculty members and is among the top ten departments of pediatrics in NIH funding. It is consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the country, as named by US News & World Report.
