Staff of the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; and the Center for Childhood Diabetes, Activity and Nutrition, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital
The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital consists of ten faculty members, five diabetes nurse educators, an endocrine nurse, a dietician, and a part-time social worker. Members of the faculty direct a variety of research programs, with special interest in growth disorders, diabetes mellitus, childhood obesity and inborn errors of metabolism.
UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. The medical school continues to expand its research effort and is now among the top medical schools for NIH funding. The Department of Pediatrics at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital consists of approximately 150 faculty members and is among the top ten departments of pediatrics in NIH funding. It is consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals in the country, as named by US News & World Report.
