Growth Plate Injuries or Trauma

With growth-plate injuries, pediatric orthopedic surgeons are expertly trained to treat the fracture or trauma to prevent permanent growth issues or possible deformity. Growth plates are the growing tissue at both ends of long bones in children and adolescents, which determine the length and shape of the mature bone.
