How to Apply
The Otolaryngology Residency Program at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
Applications are accepted exclusively through ERAS®-the Electronic Residency Application Service from the Association of American Medical Colleges. International medical students should contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for assistance with their application. All applications must be processed through the match.

Necessary Documents for Application
To be considered complete, an application must have the following documents:
- Common Application Form
- Personal Statement
- Medical School Transcript
- USMLE Transcript
- MSPE/Dean's Letter
- Three letters of recommendation
- Photograph – optional
Applications are accepted from September 1st – October 15th 2021.
Our interviews will be virtual under the recommendation of the institution.
We will participate in the interview date release program. We will release our interviews on November 5th at noon. Applicants will accept or decline on Monday November 8th at noon and not before that. We will fill any empty spots on a rolling basis beginning on Tuesday, November 9th at 9 am.
We plan to participate in the SUO student signaling program for 2022 match. Signals are used to express interest in interviewing at our program. All applicant reviewers are blinded to the signals. Signals do not influence our ultimate decisions about ranking.
