Biography

Dr. Riechers is an Associate Professor of Neurology and the Chief of the Neurology Service at the Cleveland VA Medical Center. He is a graduate of the 6 year B.S./M.D. Program at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). Following graduation from Medical School, he was commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army and completed a Neurology Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. He then served for 4 years as an Attending Neurologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He achieved the rank of Major in the U.S. Army prior to entering civilian federal service with the VA system.

Dr. Riechers clinical interests revolve around Traumatic Brain Injury, Headache and Veteran's Healthcare. He is married with three children. He enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing and hiking as well as cooking.
