Research Integration & Education
The UH Research Integration & Education office (RIE) is focused on a variety of areas including identifying best practices for the conduct of research; providing education and training for the research community; and promoting, supporting, and expanding research activities across the UH system.
Among our services, RIE presents required Clinical Research Orientation for the entire study team, UH Investigator Training which is required for all Principal Investigators (PIs), and consultations for Investigators new to UH or new to research.
RI&E assists PIs and study teams with developing recruitment & community outreach strategies, standing up new investigative sites, building awareness of research across the system with patients and staff, and integrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practices into clinical research activities.
We also provide a clinical research education course catalog offering over 50 live and online courses covering a variety of research topics, and can develop custom education based on study team needs. Additionally, we develop resources, tools, and templates to aid in the conduct of research across the UH system.

Clinical Research Orientation
UH Clinical Research Orientation provides information about navigating the research system at UH, as well as reference materials that address working with the IRB, institutional policies and contacts, research financials, regulations that govern clinical research, and the primary duties of those conducting clinical research.
All new UH employees and credentialed non-employees engaged in research at UH are required to attend. Please email ClinicalResearch@UHhospitals.org to register.
Recruitment & Community Outreach Strategy Consultation
To help ensure the success of your research project, the Clinical Research Center offers complimentary consultations to help you reach your goals. These consultations ideally occur prior to IRB submission but can happen at any point in the progression of your research study.
