Longstanding Relationship in Vaccine Research

Vaccine research is a key pillar of the IDCTU's mission. Historically, the projects we focused on involved viruses that threaten the surrounding community in hopes to limit the severity of influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Clostridium Difficile C. Diff severity of Extraintestinal Pathogenic Escherichia coli (ExPEC) infections. Furthermore, we were involved in some of the earlier safety and efficacy testing of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Antimicrobial Research

Another priority for the IDCTU is being on the forefront for developing effective modern treatment plans. We have previously been involved in research which focused on optimizing treatment to maximize the impact of existing antimicrobial agents.
