Women in Neurology

The Women in Neurology interest group recognizes that significant gender disparity exists in the field of neurology across the U.S. Women face many challenges in neurology and academic medicine, are underrepresented in leadership positions, often have difficulty finding mentors, and face many forms of microaggressions.

At Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals, we are actively working to build an allyship and pay-it-forward mindset to uplift all women in neurology. The group offers discussion panels, recruitment initiatives, mentorship, social activities, and education opportunities about the issues women in neurology face and how to be better allies.
