There are numerous social events for interns and residents to participate in throughout their time in the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program at University Hospitals, including:
Happy Hours and Brunch Outings
Frequently we gather for happy hour at nearby restaurants to catch up and have some fun!
Switch Day Party
At the Switch Day Party, we gather before the first medicine to pediatrics switch so that the interns can get the inside scoop on the side they're about to switch to.
Dinners at Residents' Houses and Annual Picnic
At the end of each academic year we have a BBQ picnic where we say our farewell to the departing seniors as recent grads and our welcomes to the incoming interns.
Med-Peds Retreat
In March of 2019 we had our first annual Med-Peds retreat, staying together in a beautiful historic home in Cuyahoga National Park. This was a great time to spend reflecting on the year, getting advice from senior classes on what to expect in the next year, planning about how to improve and grow as a program, and just spending fun time together. We will be continuing this new tradition in 2020!
