How to Apply

The Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Program offers four fellowship positions a year, using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application process.

The ERAS Application Information

Application deadline: August 1
Interview Dates: September - October

Our program will review all applications submitted through ERAS. No interview invitations are sent prior to August 16th and are sent on a rolling basis. Interview invitations are typically sent via direct contact and may continue throughout the interview season. We take seriously the idea of finding fellows who are an excellent match.

We follow current ASCO and ASH guidelines for interviews, and all interview days will be virtual with no requirements for in-person visits. Applicants may expect to have their applications labeled as “invited for interview,” “waitlisted," or "not invited” in the ERAS system. We will try to notify all applicants of their initial status by September 1st.

The ERAS Submission Requirements

The ERAS submission requirements include:

  • Common Application Form
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letters of Recommendation (three, including Dean's letter)
  • Personal Statement
  • USMLE Transcript
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • ECFMG Status Report, if applicable

U.S. Medical school graduates and foreign medical graduates with a valid ECFMG certificate who will meet eligibility for American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) board certification in Internal Medicine may apply. We can consider and accept a limited number of H1 Visa applicants. Our fellowship application process is conducted through ERAS.
