Why did you choose UH? Although I am drawn toward solid organ cancers, specifically genitourinary tract malignancies, I was looking for a program that would give me an enriching experience in hematological malignancies, cellular therapy and non-malignant hematology. The fellowship program at UH offers just that – a wide range of exposure to all aspects of hematology and oncology. Training at three different clinical sites also provides an opportunity to see varied pathology and understand the impact of socio-economic diversity on cancer treatment. The program offers ample resources for trainees to pursue scholarly activities and provides a fostering environment for fellows to grow in their field of interest. Direct access to faculty, dedicated mentors, and program leadership that values education and well-being over service are some other aspects that make training at UH distinct.
