We know that this year has posed many challenges for students. Your rotations have been shortened or rearranged, step exams canceled. International trips or research projects may have been deferred. Like everyone, you have been subjected to many new stressors.
We are committed to ensuring an equitable and fair recruitment process this year. We are flexible around letters of recommendation, completion of acting internships, and timing of standardized exam completion. Please see our FAQ section for details, and don’t hesitate to contact us with individual questions.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to hold all interviews virtually in 2020-2021. In order to ensure fairness, even applicants who live in Cleveland will be offered virtual interviews only. We will work hard to ensure that your virtual interview day provides you with the information, time interacting with residents, and other meaningful experience that you will need in order to make a well-informed decision about your residency ranking.
For general questions regarding the Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program or any questions related to interviews or the application process, please contact our coordinator Regina Steffen.
