To start a visit, you will need: a computer, tablet or smartphone, a high-speed internet connection, your insurance card or credit card, and you must be located in the state of Ohio. Log in to your MyChart account to access UH On Demand Virtual Care.

UH providers are ready to meet with you and review your symptoms, make a diagnosis, prescribe medication if needed, and answer your questions.

UH On Demand Virtual Care should not be used for medical emergencies. Please call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest emergency room if you are experiencing serious symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing or uncontrolled bleeding.

Conditions We Treat With On Demand Virtual Care

UH On Demand Virtual Care is ideal for treating conditions that require care but do not need in-person procedures or testing. Conditions that can be treated through this option include:

  • Allergies
  • Colds and Flu
  • Coughs
  • Ear pain1
  • Headaches
  • Nausea, Vomiting or Diarrhea
  • Pinkeye
  • Rashes and skin conditions
  • Sinus pain
  • Sore throat1
  • Urinary tract infections1

1: Please note that for children experiencing ear pain, sore throat or UTI symptoms, they must be treated in person. Contact your UH Rainbow pediatrician or visit a UH Urgent Care.


Affordable, Convenient Option for Care

UH On Demand Virtual Care visits are $65 per video visit. You may choose to bill your insurance (you may be asked to pay a copay) or you can choose not to use insurance and pay for this visit up front. Many insurances will apply a virtual visit to your deductible or cover part of the service.
