Helping the Next Generation of African-American Leaders

UH Nurses Help Support The Next Generation of African American Leaders

Nurses from UH participated in the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Community Service Day.

The nurses who participated were excited to share their career paths with a group of middle school students.

The nurses provided education regarding the infant mortality epidemic and participated on a panel that assisted the students in preparing gift bags for parents of babies in the NICU.

Jack and Jill of America, Inc., is an organization of mothers dedicated to raising the next generation of African-American leaders while enhancing the lives of children.

Through diverse programs focused on leadership, they work to accomplish their mission through development, cultural exposure, community service, legislative advocacy and philanthropic giving.
