University Hospitals Breast Health Center Referrals and Physician Resources
Referring to the UH Breast Health Center
UH Breast Health Center professionals promptly respond to hundreds of referring physicians every year. The Physician Referral Department helps health care specialists coordinate referrals, discuss atypical or problematic cases, order specialized tests, confirm a diagnosis and access the expertise of medical departments and faculty.
We ask for the following patient information to be available at the time of referral to facilitate the request:
- Full name
- Current address
- Current phone number(s)
- Insurance information

Continuing Medical Education Programs
Medical professionals also have access to several of our continuing education programs, including a program on skin- and nipple-sparing mastectomies, and can search our physician database.
Residency and Fellowship Programs
University Hospitals offers a number of residency and fellowship programs that provide clinical experience and research opportunities in a community health care environment, including two breast imaging fellowships within UH Breast Health Center. Program members attend weekly multidisciplinary tumor board conferences and a weekly resident conference on breast imaging. They are also encouraged to conduct clinical research.
