Becky Kiely, MA, LPAT, ATR-BC
Becky Kiely is a licensed professional, registered and board-certified art therapist with University Hospital Connor Whole Health, serving inpatients, outpatients, their families and staff at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center. Becky has spent most of her career in hospice care and has provided art therapy at senior centers, special needs schools, and assisted living and memory care facilities.
Becky received a Bachelor of Science in art therapy from Bowling Green State University. She went on to earn a master's degree in counseling and art therapy from Ursuline College. Her area of concentration when she acquired her registration hours was working with people with mental health issues and disabilities. Becky has served as a board member on the Buckeye Art Therapy Association and her BG alum Leadership Counsel board. She has 25+ years’ experience helping people find their artist within.
Becky takes a person-centered approach to art therapy practice, meeting her clientele where they live and developing therapeutic plans that suit their needs and personal goals. She uses the client’s own creativity to bring out their inner artist as a means of improving the their emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
Outside of her clinical work, Becky enjoys traveling; listening to music; attending concerts, baseball games, art festivals, museums and the theatre; creating her own artwork; and spending quality time with her two daughters and other family.
