Meet the CAR T-cell Therapy and Stem Cell Transplant for Lymphoma Team
The malignant hematologists at UH Seidman Cancer Center have expertise in CAR T-cell therapy and stem cell transplant for treating lymphoma. CAR T-cell therapy takes white blood cells, called T-cells, from a patient’s blood and modifies them in a lab so that they recognize and destroy lymphoma and other cancer cells. Stem cell transplant uses stem cells from a family member or an unrelated donor to replace lymphoma cells in the bone marrow.
