Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: My clinical interests include cardiology and oncology, and I look forward to exploring other specialties within the field of pharmacy to become a more well-rounded professional. During pharmacy school, I was actively involved in several campus organizations, including Kappa Psi, Mortar Board, and Order of Omega.
About Me: I am a college football nut whose goal is to visit every FBS stadium! This year, I am planning on driving down to the University of Kentucky to watch my Rockets kickoff their season. When I am not watching college football, I enjoy cooking new recipes, filling out my National Park passport book, and exploring the local coffee scene!

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: I am currently enrolled in the HSPAL residency to gain the necessary experience required for a future health systems pharmacy administrator position. A career goal I have set for myself is to lead or assist in the creation of a novel process within a health system. I wish to utilize my entrepreneurial spirit to the benefit of underserved patients; partaking in a HSPAL residency program is a step in that direction. Some of my involvements at university include establishing a fencing club (for fun) and running track and field (for fun?).
About Me: I enjoy snowboarding, playing cards and billiards, watching movies, and travelling. I would like to visit all the national parks someday. I have two Australian shepherds named Beau and Nala and a tuxedo cat named TB. My favorite type of cuisine is Asian, especially sushi!
Haley DeChant

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: My professional practice areas of interest include oncology and solid organ transplant. This year, I am looking forward to working towards successfully transitioning from student to pharmacist, further developing my clinical abilities, and creating meaningful connections with our preceptors. After PGY1, I intend to pursue a PGY2 in either oncology or solid organ transplant and obtain board certification thereafter. I am currently involved in ASHP, OPA, and NCODA.
About Me: Outside of pharmacy, I am either taking my guinea pig, Billy, for walks in his stroller, spending time with family and friends, or attempting a new baking recipe. I am also trying to teach myself how to play the piano!
Sarah Ritter

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: As a HSPAL resident, I have professional interest in pharmacy operations, med safety, and pharmacy informatics. Outside of the HSPAL realm, I also enjoy infectious disease and antimicrobial stewardship. With the 2-year program, I look forward to developing skills to become both a competent care giver and a respected leader. After residency I hope to be in a position where I can make contributions on a broad scale for the betterment of patient health outcomes.
About Me: On the weekends I like to get out and explore new areas in and around Cleveland. I love trying new restaurants and at night you can find me at trivia nights, bingo, or out on the dance floor. During the week I enjoy coming home and relaxing with a book or watching the newest viral Netflix series. Other hobbies of mine include playing the piano, crocheting, completing puzzles, and Pokémon Go.

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: Currently, I am interested in critical care and internal medicine. I am looking forward to gaining more clinical knowledge and expanding upon my research skills throughout residency. One of my career goals is to become a board-certified clinical pharmacist.
About Me: I enjoy cooking, makeup, and playing games. Two of my favorite games are Rummikub and Scattergories. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, binge watching netflix and reality tv shows, or exploring new areas of Cleveland.

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: I am interested in the inpatient side of pharmacy, I enjoy working in areas like Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, and ID. I want to develop into a strong and competent team member who can be relied upon. Being at a place like UH I look forward to the opportunities that will widen my clinical horizons! I plan to pursue a PGY-2 in my interest areas and I want to become a preceptor to help guide the pharmacists that will come after me.
About Me: Outside of the clinical realm, I enjoy working out, spending time with friends, and cooking. Best comfort food on my menu is pasta with meat sauce and peppers. I like to get outside and reconnect whether it be by running or going to the beach. My favorite movie is Star Wars: Rogue One and favorite show is One Piece. Go Hawks!
