Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: This year I plan to strengthen my clinical and critical-thinking skills and grow my confidence in various pharmacy practice areas. My current areas of interest include critical care and emergency medicine. I plan to complete a PGY-2 in one of my current areas of interest and become board-certified clinical specialist, serving as a preceptor for future pharmacists!
About Me: Outside of pharmacy I enjoy running, reading new books, spending time with friends and family, and snowboarding any chance I get!

Professional Interests/Goals: My current professional interests are transplant and internal medicine. One aspect of residency that I'm looking forward to is becoming involved in research. I'm also excited to gain more clinical knowledge, grow my leadership skills, and precept students!
About me: I enjoy reading/listening to podcasts, playing soccer, and staying active at the gym. During the summer I like to spend time outside doing fun activities like hiking and kayaking. Other things I love are dogs and traveling: my favorite place to visit in the US so far is Sedona, AZ.
Hitomi Iwasaki

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: Throughout pharmacy school, I developed interests in solid organ transplant, critical care, and internal medicine, all of which I am able to further explore through residency at UH CMC. I am also interested in clinical outcomes research and precepting. Career goals that I want to pursue are a PGY2 in an area of interest and become board certified. I was an active member in Kappa Psi – Beta Phi Chapter, SSHP, and APhA.
About Me: In my free time, I enjoy going to museums and attending local sporting events - GO CAVS! My favorite way to unwind is by going on walks, listening to audiobooks, and watching rom-coms. I am also always on the hunt for a great coffee place!
Megan McQuigg

Professional Interests/Career Goals/Involvements: Specific areas of interests of mine are critical care and emergency medicine. A broader area of interest is research that focuses on quality improvement and cost savings. My career goals are to complete post-graduate training which will allow me to pursue a career in clinical pharmacy, with some aspect of leadership involvement. I am currently an active member in ACCP and ASHP.
About Me: In my free time I enjoy cycling, yoga, and meditation. I’m a big fan of Top Chef, and I try to dine at previous Top Chef competitor’s restaurants every time I visit a new city.
