Geriatrics Fellowship Education & Training
The University Hospitals / Case Western Reserve University Geriatric Medicine Fellowship provides comprehensive clinical and academic training across a wide range of geriatric care settings. Fellows develop expertise through hands-on rotations, longitudinal clinical experiences, didactics, national conferences, and a required scholarly project, all supported by direct faculty mentorship throughout the year.
In our program, we constantly identify and promote innovative and timely educational opportunities in a vast array of topics and interests. Our geriatrics fellowship educational components include:
- Clinical training curriculum in a variety of disciplines and care settings, including ambulatory, inpatient
- Extensive educational didactics and seminars
- Local, regional and national conferences
- Scholarly project with mentorship and guidance from faculty
- Opportunities for teaching, leadership, and quality improvement
- Research training includes required scholarly project with faculty mentorship in clinical research, educational research, or quality improvement, with an optional second year through the VA-GRECC research fellowship.
