How to Apply

University Hospitals Emergency Medicine Residents on Helipad

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center welcomes both U.S. allopathic and osteopathic students to apply to our residency program through ERAS. We pride ourselves on our holistic review of applicants to find our newest members of our department’s community and thus have no minimum score requirements to consider when applying.

A complete application includes the following:

  1. ERAS Application
  2. USLME board scores (Step 1 & 2)
  3. Medical Student Performance Evaluation (aka “Dean’s Letter”)
  4. Three Letters of Recommendation (at least 1 Standard Letters Of Evaluation from EM program)
  5. Personal Statement
  6. Medical School Transcript

Our program can offer J-1 visas for applicants from U.S. medical schools who require them.

All applications are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Paper applications are NOT accepted.
