Residency Letter from Director of Dermatology
Training New Leaders in Dermatology for Over 60 Years
Welcome to the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center Dermatology Residency Program. Our three year dermatology residency program, which is affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, has been training dermatologists for over 60 years, and our faculty continues to be passionate about resident education.
Our program offers a unique opportunity for residents to learn in multiple and varied clinical environments, including UH Cleveland Medical Center, UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, UH Seidman Cancer Center, multiple satellite campuses and the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. We emphasize professional development, resilience and leadership skills. In addition, a focus is placed on providing research opportunities for residents, including an option for a four year academic track for physician scientists, and an option for an osteopathic track. The learning environment is multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary. Our residents co-learn with MD and DO dermatology residents, and with NP post-masters dermatology trainees, rotating medical students, and representatives from other specialties involved in our Multidisciplinary Cutaneous Oncology, Wound Care, Multidisciplinary Psoriasis and Vascular Anomalies Programs.
We are dedicated to training compassionate and knowledgeable clinicians, who will be well-prepared for a successful and enjoyable life-long career in dermatology. If you are looking for an excellent dermatology training experience, we invite you to apply to our program!
