Give to the Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation

With the help of donors, the Foundation provides funding in the areas of cancer, cardiac, women and children’s care, spiritual and integrative care, support for our nurses and caregivers, hospice/palliative/advanced illness care and support to help the hospital’s greatest needs in caring for our community.

Well-Being Retreat

The Well-Being Retreat is a sanctuary where cancer patients can renew and retreat from their illness for a while through massage therapy, reiki treatments, and a listening ear. This program was made possible by a gift from the family and friends of Patty Boyko. The Well-Being Retreat is located at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at UH Parma Medical Center, and with the help of donors, will expand to include additional care programs that improve the quality of life for individuals coping with cancer.

Hospice Care, Palliative Care, Chronic and Advanced Illness Care

University Hospitals Parma Medical Center has a longstanding history of providing for the needs of seriously ill patients and their families. Eventually, the hospital’s scope of service came to include hospice care as a result of this focus.

Today, we continue to use innovation and compassion to comfort patients experiencing chronic, advanced and terminal illnesses; providing them the highest quality of life possible, while offering their families support during extraordinarily difficult times. Donor support greatly helps with our ongoing adjustments and expansion of care in this area so that we help people earlier in their advanced illness journey.

General Fund

At times, University Hospitals Parma Medical Center calls upon the Parma Hospital Health Care Foundation to help with a project thatmmeets a new and important care need for the community. By making a donation to the General Fund, donors help UH Parma Medical Center respond to new concerns as they come up and help problem solve through purchases of medical equipment, program improvements, and support for care innovations and advanced treatments.
