Visitor Resources and Services at UH Bedford Medical Center
Having to visit a hospital can be a stressful time. Knowing how to prepare in advance and having access to resources that provide guidance can help relieve some of that anxiety. University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center provides a number of amenities and resources to its patients and visitors.
UH Bedford Medical Center is pleased to provide free Wireless High Speed Internet Access for our patients and guests. To connect, please follow these steps:
- Turn on your WiFi-enabled device: smartphone, tablet or laptop.
- Connect to the wireless network UH_Guest.
- Launch the web browser and go to the website www.UHhospitals.org.
- Read the user agreement and click Accept.
- If you do not see a UH welcome page, you may need to configure the SSID or network name to UH_Guest.
For the health and safety of our patients and staff, UH Bedford Medical Center provides a smoke-free campus. Visitors, patients and staff are asked to refrain from smoking in any area of the hospital or hospital grounds.
Public Parking for UH Bedford
The main hospital parking lot is directly across Blaine Avenue, opposite the main entrance. Outpatient parking, MRI Suite parking and additional visitor parking is available adjacent to the Outpatient Surgery Center and MRI entrances, off Columbus Street just south of the hospital. Additional parking is also available in the UH Bedford Medical Center, a Campus of UH Regional Hospitals Medical Building parking lot off Blaine Avenue at the west end of the hospital campus (closest to Center Road).
Handicapped parking is clearly designated in all parking areas. Separate handicapped parking spaces are conveniently located adjacent to the emergency, outpatient and MRI Suite entrances.
The emergency, outpatient, MRI Suite and UH Bedford Medical Center Health Center entrances are wheelchair-accessible. Wheelchairs are available at those entrances if needed.
An interfaith, non-denominational chapel is located on the first floor by the Café and open 24 hours, seven days a week, offering a quiet respite for guests.

If you find an item that doesn’t belong to you or you are missing an item that may have been left in the hospital, please visit the main lobby reception desk and ask the attendant to contact Protective Services for you.
