About
Dr. Joshua K. Napora, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Dr. Napora also has privileges at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital for the treatment of complex pediatric traumas. He also sees patients at UH Broadview Heights and operates at UH Parma Medical Center and is an Assistant Professor of orthopedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Napora’s special interests include complex adult and pediatric trauma, fracture care, limb mal-alignment, fracture nonunions, fractures of both the upper and lower extremities. Dr. Napora also specializes in limb length discrepancy, performing internal and external lengthening of bone abnormalities, and corrective osteotomies for limb mal-alignment. He has particular interest and specialized training in circular ring external fixation correction.
He graduated from Duke University in North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. He earned his medical doctorate from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Dr. Napora then went on to complete an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the R A Cowley Shock Trauma Center/University of Maryland in Baltimore. He further specialized his training by spending time at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City learning complex limb deformity. He joined the UH Cleveland Medical Center medical staff in 2019.
Dr. Napora is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the Limb Length and Reconstruction Society.
