UH Art Collection

Across our healthcare system, visitors will discover a remarkably diverse collection of fine art thoughtfully placed in gallery spaces throughout hospitals, clinics and administrative spaces. The collection reflects a wide spectrum of subject matter – from tranquil landscapes and botanical studies to vibrant abstract compositions, cultural narratives and contemporary interpretations of the human experience. This diversity ensures that individuals from many backgrounds and perspectives can encounter artwork that resonates personally.

Equally varied is the range of artistic mediums represented within the collection. Paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor are displayed alongside photography, mixed media works, sculpture, textiles and works on paper. Each medium brings its own visual language and texture, creating a rich and dynamic environment within the healthcare setting. From bold modern pieces to quiet, contemplative works, the collection highlights both emerging and established artists.

Together, the breadth of subjects and mediums creates an engaging visual landscape across our facilities. These works not only enrich the aesthetic environment but also reflect the creativity, diversity and humanity that are central to the healing mission of our healthcare system. The UH Art Collection consists of work in all mediums – paintings, photographs, drawings, prints, textiles, glass, sculpture, ceramics and more – by local artists and artists from across the United States, Canada and Europe. Some of these artists are emerging, while others are internationally recognized.

We invite you to enjoy our collection while visiting UH or explore our galleries digitally.
