About

UH Art Collection Gallery at UH Cleveland Medical Center

UH’s Trudy Wiesenberger Gallery, located at our main campus, serves as a dynamic cultural space within the healthcare environment, presenting a thoughtfully curated program of rotating exhibitions throughout the year. The gallery highlights the work of regional artists, offering a platform for creative voices from our surrounding communities while celebrating the vibrant artistic talent that exists locally. Through regularly changing exhibitions, visitors, patients, and staff are continually introduced to new perspectives, styles, and artistic approaches.

In addition to showcasing regional artists, the gallery frequently collaborates with community partners and cultural organizations to present exhibitions that reflect shared values of creativity, education, and community engagement. These partnerships allow the gallery to broaden its reach and present diverse artistic narratives that resonate with the many individuals who pass through our healthcare system each day.

The exhibition program also includes special displays featuring works donated by generous collectors and supporters of the hospital’s fine art collection. These exhibitions provide an opportunity to share significant works of art with the public while acknowledging the important role that philanthropy plays in enriching the cultural life of our institution.

Complementing these presentations are exhibitions that explore medical themes which highlight the intersection of art and healthcare. These displays may highlight medical illustration or contemporary artistic interpretations related to health, science, and the human body. Together, this multifaceted exhibition program transforms the hospital gallery into a space for reflection, learning, and inspiration—demonstrating how art can meaningfully contribute to a compassionate and holistic healthcare environment.
