Jordan Winter, MD
Dr. Jordan M. Winter is a surgeon-scientist with expertise in pancreatic and related cancers, trained in General Surgery at Johns Hopkins, where he also completed post‑doctoral research in Molecular Oncology. He received specialty fellowship training in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan‑Kettering Cancer Center. In 2011, he joined Thomas Jefferson University as a pancreatic surgeon and research scientist before being recruited to University Hospitals in 2018 to serve as Division Chief of Surgical Oncology and Director of Surgical Services at the Seidman Cancer Center.
Dr. Winter is a Professor in the Departments of Surgery and Biochemistry at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He serves as Co‑Director of the Developmental Therapeutics Program at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center and as Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery. Most recently, he assumed the role of Director of the Digestive Health Institute.
His clinical focus includes the management of pancreatic and related gastrointestinal cancers, and his basic science research centers on uncovering metabolic vulnerabilities that can be targeted therapeutically. His research program is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the American Cancer Society, and contributes to active clinical trials and translational studies aimed at developing novel treatments for pancreatic cancer.
