UH Health Services Research Center Improves the Livelihood of our Community

University Hospitals’ mission “To Teach, To Heal, To Discover” inherently calls for the translation of UH’s cutting edge research into interventions that improve the health and health care in Northeast (NE) Ohio and the nation.

University Hospitals is the leading community focused health care provider in NE Ohio and through various commitments seeks to improve the livelihood of the communities it serves. The UH Health Services Research Center (HSRC) capability will catalyze further, positive impact.

Health services research is a multidisciplinary scientific study of how social factors, financing systems, organizational structures and processes, health technologies and personal behaviors affect health care. Our HSRC aims to organize and fund health services research investigators, catalyze innovation through research support infrastructure and build capacity for education, training and community impact to improve healthcare quality, cost and outcomes individuals, families and our community.

Our Vision

The UH HSRC aims to develop a center that will catalyze excellence and national leadership in the development, evaluation, and translation of evidence and policies to enhance the efficacy, efficiency, and equity of healthcare delivery to improve health and well-being outcomes at the individual and population levels.
