Clinical Research Resources

The Division of Radiology Research is able to work with clinical research partners and investigators to develop and create a collaborative environment and move innovative technologies more quickly into patient care. To support the goal of the advancement of radiological science, the department has many resources to support researchers from start to finish.

Research Credentialing

Our team can help guide researchers through the required training to complete research at University Hospitals. We can also help medical students, graduate students, fellows, residents, and other students who need help with the credentialing process.

Regulatory Support

Learn more

Clinical Research Specialists can provide guidance and support for clinical trials, stretching from navigating an IRB submission to maintaining regulatory documents and binders. In addition, specialists help ensure all clinical trials follow Good Clinical Practice guidelines to reduce non-compliance.

Biostatistical Support

The department’s Biostatistician can assist researchers with their study design, analysis, and interpretation of research findings. Support extends to collaborative authoring grants, IRB applications, conference abstracts/posters/papers, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.

Our team can assist with grant applications and submissions through federal, foundation, and local grants. We can provide contacts and times lines for submissions. In addition, we can help locate grants that apply to your research.

Collaboration with Case Western Reserve University

The Division of Radiology Research works in close collaboration with the Case Center for Imaging Research, which provides both preclinical and clinical research opportunities. The Case Center for Imaging Research has a full array of imaging facilities for preclinical and clinical research. It makes these facilities available to the entire Northeast Ohio area via core facilities.

Case Center for Imaging Research

University Hospitals Department of Radiology partners with Case Western Reserve University Case Center for Imaging Research (CCIR) to provide research services to UH researchers and industry partners throughout Northeast Ohio and across the country. The CCIR helps further the study of imaging and provides a comprehensive suite of preclinical and clinical imaging instrumentation and techniques developed in-house by our leading imaging scientists.


Translational Imaging Research Core 

The Case Center for Imaging Research (CCIR) exists to help further the study of imaging and provides services to University Hospitals research communities, researchers, and industry partners.  Within the CCIR, the Imaging Research Core provides a comprehensive suite of preclinical and clinical imaging instrumentation and techniques developed in-house by our leading imaging scientists.
