Residency Goals: To further develop my clinical knowledge, leadership abilities, and critical thinking in a variety of practice settings to become an effective pharmacist and preceptor.
Post-Residency Goals: To pursue additional training in critical care or internal medicine, acquire a clinical specialist position at an academic medical center, precept student pharmacists and residents, and continue to seek opportunities for personal growth within my profession.
About Me: I enjoy watching and following the Cleveland Cavaliers, playing soccer and volleyball, and spending time with family and friends.
Emily Metzker, PharmD

College of Pharmacy: University of Cincinnati James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy
Residency Goals: Goals I have for this year include building my confidence and competence as a well-rounded pharmacist, presenting and completing research suitable for publication, as well as precepting pharmacy students to enhance my teaching skills. I hope to make a positive impact at UH through patient care, research, and professional involvement.
Post-Residency Goals: After residency I am planning to become BPS certified and have a clinical role in patient care. I also want to serve as a clinical preceptor for pharmacy students and maintain professional involvement in pharmacy organizations such as ASHP and ACCP. In the long term I hope to continue my involvement in professional organizations and hold an officer position for either the local or national board.
About me: I like to spend my free time exploring and trying new restaurants around Cleveland, relaxing with family and friends up on Sandusky Bay, and hanging out with my dog or really any dog nearby. I also recently joined a Monday night shuffleboard league and am the reigning champion of my fantasy football league.
