S.M.A.R.T. – Offering a Unique Program for Stress Management
Did you know that 80 to 90 percent of primary care doctor visits are related to conditions caused and/or exacerbated by stress?
Many individuals today face extreme stress levels due to ever increasing responsibilities, financial challenges, pressure to produce results and the challenges of achieving an optimal work-life balance. While eliminating stress from our lives is an unrealistic goal, we can seek to effectively manage our response to stress.
University Hospitals Connor Whole Health’s S.M.A.R.T. (Stress Management and Resilience Training) Program teaches individuals how to be smarter about their approach to stress in their lives. The program seeks to reduce the negative impact stress can have on a person’s health. We offer programs for adults to build healthy, lifelong coping strategies.
The S.M.A.R.T. Program focuses on developing techniques to minimize the physiological and emotional effects of stress. The eight-week interactive series is led by experienced stress management experts, and each session provides strategies for self-care and practical tools to help build stress resilience.

- The Physiology of Stress
- Being Grounded
- Good Enough
- Immunity to Change
- Gratitude and Positivity
- Relationships and Connectedness
