About Integrative Medicine Consultations
During an integrative medicine consultation, an integrative medicine physician will help patients develop a personalized care plan based on individual goals and current health conditions. Our physician will collaborate with patients’ treating physicians and provide education and whole-health recommendations.
What to Expect
During an integrative medicine consult, you will meet one-on-one with a provider who has extensive training and expertise in integrative health. Your appointment will begin with a review of your medical history and the symptoms and health conditions you are currently experiencing. You will have a chance to discuss your health goals with your provider.
Your provider will then make recommendations based on the assessment, and together you will develop a plan that can help you achieve your goals. Your provider will determine which integrative therapies may work best for you and can be incorporated into your treatment plan, along with more conventional therapies. Our recommendations are informed by evidence from medical literature, with close attention to safety and efficacy.
Additionally, you will learn basic wellness techniques that can further assist in achieving optimal health. These include:
- Stress management
- Diet and nutrition
- Water intake and sleep hygiene
- Physical exercise and activity
- Avoidance of toxic substances such as nicotine
