Charles LoPresti, MD SFHM

Charles LoPresti, MD SFHM

Charles LoPresti, MD SFHM is an Associate Professor within the Department of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He serves as the program director for the UH Geauga IM program, as well as the Associate DIO for the University Hospitals Community Consortium. Dr. LoPresti is an academic hospitalist with specific interests in the topics of medical education and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). He is nationally recognized for both of these efforts, and teaches POCUS for multiple national medical societies.

Tamar Bejanishvili, MD FACP

Tamar Bejanishvili, MD FACP is the Associate Program Director for the UH Geauga IM Program. Dr. Bejanishvili is a primary care physician and leads the resident continuity clinic.

Caitlin Gillen, DO

Caitlin Gillen, DO

Caitlin Gillen, DO is the Associate Program Director for the UH Geauga IM program. Dr. Gillen has served as a teaching and non-teaching hospitalist since 2020 with specific interests in medical education and patient safety.

Chief Residents

Carl Bou-Abboud, DO (PGY3)

Carl Bou-Abboud, DO (PGY4)

Dr. Carl F. Bou-Abboud is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency training at UH Regionals Internal Medicine program and currently serves as the Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Bou-Abboud is an academic hospitalist with specific interests in medical education and rheumatology. Interests outside of medicine include soccer, skiing, spending time with family and friends and is an avid Liverpool FC fan.

Remie Saab, MD

Remie Saab, MD (PGY3)

Dr. Remie Saab is from Lebanon and graduate of the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences. Dr. Saab also completed a clinical research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic and has wide interest in research. She has a passion for Internal Medicine with special interest in Allergy and Immunology and medical education. Dr. Saab will be serving as assistant chief resident helping with education, didactics, recruitment and wellness events. Interests outside of medicine include traveling, exploring new cultures and new food, baking, swimming, painting and spending time with her husband and two little kids.

Joshuva T. John, DO

Joshuva T. John, DO (PGY3)

Dr. Joshuva John was born and raised in Yonkers, New York, and graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has completed research internships at both The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and the VA Medical Center in the Bronx. He has a passion for both patient care and research in the field of Internal Medicine. He currently has his sights set on pursuing a fellowship in Hematology Oncology. Josh will be serving as an assistant chief resident, helping with education, didactic sessions, recruitment, and wellness events. His interests outside of medicine include baseball, basketball, spending time with family, and passionately rooting for his beloved New York sports teams.
