The program emphasizes hands-on, practical patient care experience under the supervision of UH Geauga's residents and faculty.
Description and Defining Characteristics
Preliminary interns are full members of the Department of Medicine house staff, training alongside categorical residents. The year is built to develop clinical competence before trainees move on to their categorical program, combining hands-on clinical experience with close supervision from faculty and senior residents.
