The Colon and Rectal Surgery Residency at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is a nationally recognized program in Colon and Rectal Surgery. The program trains one ACGME board eligible resident per year. Our program has a strong tradition of training future leaders of Colon and Rectal surgery. The training includes exceptional experience in abdominal surgery including re-operative pelvic surgery from rectal cancer to re-do ileopouch anal anastomoses. Residents have an extremely strong experience in minimally invasive surgery including cutting edge techniques such as transanal mesorectal resections.
