Auxiliary of UH Portage Medical Center


The Auxiliary of UH Portage Medical Center is a separate non-profit entity dedicated to its mission of rendering service to the hospital and promoting the health and welfare of the community by raising funds for capital needs and additional patient services in accordance with hospital priorities.

For more than 75 years, The Auxiliary has raised more than $3 million for identified hospitals needs by raising funds through management of the Chestnut Tree Gift Shop, offering a Lifeline fall detection program, and sponsoring various fundraising events, including the annual holiday Celebration of Lights event, fall Craft Show and Fashion Show.

Membership in the Auxiliary is open to men and women interested in supporting their mission by volunteering for fundraising projects. The Executive Board meets monthly and general membership meetings are held six times a year. Nominal yearly dues are a requirement of membership.
