Olushola Fapo, MD, joined the division of academic pediatrics & adolescent medicine at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s in August 2023.  Keep reading to get to know her a little better:

How old were you when you felt the call to become a doctor?

Since I was a child. I broke my leg when I was 5, my experience at the hospital inspired me to become a physician.

Areas of clinical interest:

Adverse childhood experiences, childhood bullying, gun safety and injury prevention, adolescent medicine.

Who or what inspires you and why?

My mother, a very hardworking and virtuous woman who inspired my life’s work.

Dog or cat?

Dog, I plan to adopt a puppy soon.

Coffee or tea?

Tea, trying new flavors is one of my hobbies.

Cavs, Guardians or Browns?

Soccer, a Manchester United fan.

Favorite book (outside of medical journals)?

The bible, has so many cool stories.
