Meet Omkar Phadke MD, Pediatric Rheumatology

Omkar Phadke, MD, joined the newly formed UH Rainbow division of Allergy/Immunology/Rheumatology in December last year.  Keep reading to get to know him a little better:

Q: How old were you when you felt the call to become a doctor?

A: I was in high school.  I entered the NICU for the first time with my Dad who is a Pediatric Nephrologist and was blown away.

Q: Who or what inspires you and why?

A: My Dad.  He showed me his hard working nature and work ethic.

Q: Dog or cat?

A: Dog 

Q: Coffee or tea?

A: Coffee 

Q: Cavs, Guardians or Browns?

A: Cavs all day.  Lebron, come back!

Q: Favorite book (outside of medical journals)?

A: Harry Potter, Robin Cook medical thrillers

A: I used to play Chess at the national level and also played the drums for a rock band in medical school.
