*** We have seen most of the departments that Rainbow Babies have to offer so I have a good sense of the quality of care we receive. on average our doctors have been excellent. however Dr Peiffer set a new bar. He had excellent bedside manner, spoke calmly and kindly to my son. what really set him apart from other caregivers/docs/nurses was his thoroughness. He had read through my sons chart and quickly familiarized himself with my son's rare genetic condition. He was confident and helpful and I was so impressed that he took the time to look into his medical history and read up on it. hands down this was the best experience to date with Rainbow Babies Doctor.

Excellent first experience with Dr. Peiffer and his team, we scheduled a follow-up with him and are bringing our other son to see him as well. Great bedside manner, they were patient with my son, and the staff and office were kid friendly, which is important!

Dr Pfeifer is an excellent optometrist. He has seen my children in the past for well-checks and he also sees adults on occasion. He was thorough, efficient, and is a great teacher.

Excellent provider. The wait time can be a bit long a times due to the number of appointments made around the same time. It appears to be a very busy office at the days/times our appointments have been scheduled.

Industry Relationships

University Hospitals is committed to transparency in our interactions with industry partners, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies. At UH, we disclose practitioner and their family members’ ownership and intellectual property rights that are or in the process of being commercialized. In addition, we disclose payments to employed practitioners of $5,000 or more from companies with which the practitioners interact as part of their professional activities. These practitioner-industry relationships assist in developing new drugs, devices and therapies and in providing medical education aimed at improving quality of care and enhancing clinical outcomes. At the same time, UH understands that these relationships may create a conflict of interest. In providing this information, UH desires to assist patients in talking with their practitioners about industry relationships and how those relationships may impact their medical care.

UH practitioners seek advance approval for certain new industry relationships. In addition, practitioners report their industry relationships and activities, as well as those of their immediate family members, to the UH Office of Outside Interests annually. We review these reports and implement management plans, as appropriate, to address conflicts of interest that may arise in connection with medical research, clinical care and purchasing decisions.
