Brain Circuitry Analysis in Bipolar Disorder

This study is currently closed to enrollment.

Purpose

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how the brain functions in patients with Bipolar Disorder (BD) compared to matched controls. The data collected from this study will then be used to determine if Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) could possibly be useful in the treatment of BD.

This is an observational study to determine if DBS could be a possible treatment. We hope to one day be able to offer DBS as a standard form of treatment.
