Research Areas
Our team at UH Seidman Cancer Center is focused on kidney research related to a variety of treatments and conditions for cancer patients including immune checkpoint inhibitors, CAR T-cell therapy, stem cell transplant, and COVID-19. Researchers are studying how immune checkpoint inhibitors, genetically engineered T cells (CAR T-cell therapy) and stem cell transplants affect the kidneys when targeting cancer cells. The team also has studies to learn more how COVID-19 impacts the kidneys.
