An injury, trauma, insect bite, or other bite was near the eye within the past 3 days
Something got stuck in the eye(s) just before the current symptoms started
Exposure of the eye(s) to chemicals or other irritants before current symptoms started
History of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) eye disease
The eye issue or symptoms have been present for longer than 1 month
Diagnosed or treated for pink-eye or conjunctivitis or any other eye infection in the last 2 weeks OR taking eye drops for a chronic eye condition that might interfere or be altered by antibiotic or decongesting eye drops
Severe green drainage that is continuously dripping out of the eye
None of these situations or conditions apply
